Ian's Picture #1

I started my list of 101 things in 1001 days (thanks for the idea Brooke). One of my 101 things is to take a picture of Ian everyday so I'm going to try and post them on all here.

The Letter "U"

Last week at daycare Ian learned all about the letter U. Our daycare provider, Amanda said it was hard to come up with different ideas for the letter U so she did the Ugly Picture even though all of the pictures were great. Ian is getting better about staying in the lines and his name is starting to look pretty good too!

Skiing/Snowboarding at Winter Park

My mom's Christmas present to us was a trip to Winter Park to ski and snowboard. We stayed at the bottom of the mountain and it was perfect. We could walk to the lift and walk back whenever we wanted to.

This is what the building we stayed in looked like.

The girls on the trip - my mom, me, Sheena (Daniels girlfriend) and Meghan (Marcus' fiance).

The first day Ian and I just hung out and walked around while everyone else hit the mountain. But then the second day we took Ian up the mountain. It started off pretty good but it slowly when downhill from there. Chris ended up carrying Ian for about an hour down the mountain. They were both exchausted by the end of the run. But Ian wants to go back and try it again so that's all that matters!

My mom on the mountain!

The third day we took Ian sledding and he loved it. He cried when we had to leave.

We also took a ride on the new gondola. Ian talked about it for 2 days straight so we had to take him on it. Again he cried when we had to stop riding it.

Ian with the Coca Cola bear.

After the gonodla ride Chris thought it would be fun to have a snowball fight. Luckily I ducked right after taking this picture because this was heading straight for my face.

We had a great time and hated to leave. But luckily we are planning another trip at the end of January with friends so it won't be long before another road trip to Colorado.

Thanks Grandma Kershaw - this was a great Christmas present!!

Christmas in Colorado

The day after Christmas we headed to Colorado. We stayed with Marcus and Meghan and had a little Christmas celebration. Then the following day headed up the mountain for some skiing fun.

Daniel, Sheena & my mom.

This was actually a picture of me with Marcus and Meghan in the background taking a picture of themselves but I thought it was cute and funny so I had to post it.

We gave my mom a 4 pack of amp - she loves this stuff.

Ian and my mom. Ian got a Leapster2 for Christmas so my mom got him a few games to play on it.

Grandpa Rocky's House - Christmas Day

After we opened presents at our house we headed to Grand Island to spend Christmas day/night with Grandma Rocky, Michelle, Daniel and Sheena. We opened presents, had a great steak dinner and then played cards - Sheena was the big winner.
Ian was pretty excited about the train set he got from Grandpa Rocky & Michelle.

Our Christmas - Christmas Morning

I mentioned in my last post that first thing Christmas morning Ian only wanted to play with his jungle set so we had to threaten to throw away Santa's presents to get him to open them. Once he sat down and started opening them he forgot about his jungle for a little while!
Chris did most of the picture and video work! He was not happy when I started taking pictures of him.

I was super happy when Santa brought me a Sudoku hand held game. It got lots of use on our drive to Colorado!

Ian got a wood tool bench from Santa so now he can start working on his home improvement skills to help Chris around the house.

Nebesniak Christmas - Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was spent with the Nebesniaks. We had some great prime rib, opened presents and then played a few games. It was a lot of fun. We did miss Heather and Deegan! Next year we'll even be better with two more grandkids moving around the house!

The grandkids minus Deegan. Ian was not very happy about taking more pictures! Ian, Marlee, Lainey, Ryder, Lexi, Griffin and Deni.

These 4 are right around the same age and have lots of fun playing together!
Uncle Erin got a great gift for Ian. This first picture he's opening the present.

These two picture are of him staring at it. As soon as it was opened he just wanted to take it out of the packing and play with it. We even had to bribe him the next morning to open Santa's presents. All he wanted to do was play with his Jungle from Erin, Heather, Marlee and Deegan.

Here's a picture of Griffin with a very cute outfit he got.

Aunt Nicki made pillows for these four - by the end of the night most of them were laying on them - they were worn at from all the excitement.

We got lots of cute pictures of Deni so I had to share them.

This one is her thinking of what she wants from Santa.

All the kids were playing in the toy room while the adults were playing Mad Gab and Deni came out wearing this. What a cute princess!

I thought this was cute of Amy and Deni after opening a present.

We had a great time at the Nebesniak's and this was only the beginning of our Christmas celebrations!
