New Bike

My mom got Ian a bike for his birthday this year. She gave it to him a little early so he could get out and use it. This was our first trip around the block. It was a little shaky at times but he started to get the hang of it and now he loves riding it.

Chris made sure he was close by the entire time just in case!

But he was sure proud of his new bike. THANKS GRANDMA KERSHAW!

Restaurant Fun

Took a few fun pictures at lunch one day.

March of Dimes Walk

The March of Dimes walk was on Sunday, April 26th and it was a pretty yucky day. It rained all day and not just a nice little spring shower - it was a spring thunderstorm with lightning and thunder. We made it to Holmes lake without getting too wet but as soon as we got under the big tent it start raining pretty hard. Ian was bound and determined to "March" of Dimes. So we started to walk the trail - we figured a little water can't hurt until a huge lightning strike hit the ground way to closely - so we headed to our car. Even though it was a yucky day we still were proud to be a part of the event. We were just happy to be with a super healthy 4 year old that had a rough start to his life. Everyday in my mind I thank every person that has ever done anything to help babies like Ian - it does make a difference - just look at our little boy!!

Ian and Mommy staying out of the rain under the tent - too bad for the rain - Ian really wanted to play on the bouncy houses!

Ian and Daddy after the walk - look at those blue eyes!

The Nebesniak family after a little walk in the rain!

First Trip to the Zoo

Our first trip to the Lincoln Zoo was at the end of April. It was a little cold out but still fun. We are looking forward to spending Wednesday nights at the zoo starting in June.

The zoo had lots of activties for the kids so Ian got involved in a few of them.

Ian was using stamps to make different animal traces.

We let him ride one of the ponies - he loves doing this!

They had dead fish (kind of gross I know) and you could paint on them and make a stamp of the fish. Ian was not sure at first what was going on.

Then he was flapping his arms like a bird would.
We had lots of fun on our first visit and we'll be back many times this summer. It's always a fun place to visit.

Avenue Q

At the end of March Chris and I went to Avenue in Omaha with Brooke, Allison, Brett and Kristen. I've wanted to see this for a while since I got the CD from Brooke. It's pretty hilarious and we had a good time. I would recommend it to anyone (as long as you can stand some mature content!)

Can you tell that it was pretty cold out this day? We are trying are best to take a good picture but also keep our bodies warm!
