Here's my other baby sleeping! I just want to snuggle up with him!

The Wednesday before Thanksgiving we spend with the Nebesniak's. We got a picture of all the grandkids or tried to. It was getting late so we had some tired kids!
The newest were held in mommy's arms until the last minute! Kael above and Borne below.
These two might be the first two grandkids with Brown eyes. Amy and Pat are pretty sure Kael's are going to be brown - we are still trying to figure out what Borne is going to have.

Omaha Trip

The week before Thanksgiving we decided to make an overnight trip to Omaha. We thought it would be fun to have a little getaway before Chris had to go back to work after paternity leave. So we loaded up and drove to the Holiday Inn where we visited Coco Key Water Resort. I was not a smart mommy and did not take a single picture. It was a little disappointing because we thought going on a Tuesday would mean no people but they were having a special promotion and everyone got in FREE. Which meant it was absolutely packed. Ian still had a great time and we ended up getting free passes for another visit since I paid for admission and was not really happy about the free day. Next time hopefully it won't be quite so busy and Ian might be able to take a friend!

The next morning we got up and went to the Omaha Children's Museum. We are huge fans of the Lincoln Children's Museum so we thought it would be fun to compare (it also helped that we got free passes with the hotel package!). I got smart and took pictures there.
The first stop was in the ball area (above and below pictures). I think Chris and I had more fun than Ian. There were all kinds of different areas that had all kinds of mechanisms to shoot, throw, and move the balls. There was a way to get all of the balls into a middle holding spot and then every couple of minutes an alarm would go off and they would dump all over the floor (below picture). It was a lot of fun and we had to tear ourselves away from this area.
Chris had fun relaxing in a little house!
Such a cute donkey!Overall the Omaha Children's Museum was fun but does not compare to the Lincoln Children's Museum. Omaha has two floors but you had to pay extra to visit the special display on the second floor and the first floor is probably the same size as the main floor at Lincoln but then Lincoln has two more floors the same size! So we are glad to went and got to see it and experience the ball area because that was pretty sweet but we'll continue to love our local Children's Museum!

Brandon's 5th Birthday

One of Ian's best friends, Brandon, celebrated his 5th birthday at Chuck E Cheese. The kids had fun running all aroun playing games. Then they loved their pizza and cupcakes. Happy Birthday Brandon!

Let It Snow!

We had lots of fun with all of the snow that came down this week! Ian wanted to go outside right away so I finally got him all bundled up and he had so much fun. I started laughing immediately because these were his first moves:
1) Went to the patio table that had about a foot of snow of it. He scraped off the first couple of layers of snow and then started licking the snow.
2) Took about 2 steps away from the table and then fell straight back into the snow and made a snow angel.
3) Got up from the snow angel and took about 3 more steps into the yard and just fell to his knees and sat there.
4) Then he started to throw snow in the air. Jack come running to play. So both Jack and Ian were trying to catch snow in their mouths.

I was giggling through all of this! Of course I did not get any pictures of any of the above but shortly after that I got the camera out.
I think Jack liked having Ian outside to play!

After he had been outside for about 20 minutes I look out and he's took his stocking hat off and was filling it with snow. I went out to tell him he needed a hat on. He said he wanted to throw Jack more snow!
Then he came in for yummy hot chocolate!

The next day Chris was home and they both ventured out - Chris cleared the driveway - Ian played!

He was all about digging holes!

He was very tired after digging the holes!
And the entire time Ian was outside playing this is what Borne did! I was more with Borne!!

Scary Monster

Ian drew this picture at preschool one day. He told his teacher it was a scary monster from his dream. The reason why I post it is because it is very very similar to doodling pictures I used to make all of the time especially when I was in school. I don't think he's ever seen me draw one of these so I thought it was quite crazy that he drew something so similar.

Babies Sleeping

I've always loved to watch babies sleep - they are just so peaceful and cute. I think I'll always love to watch my babies sleep no matter what age they are. The other day the house was quiet with both boys sleeping - I went to check on Ian and I had to take a picture. He'll always be my sweet little boy!

Celebrating My 30th Birthday!

So I have to say my 30th birthday was pretty darn good. I did a few things before the big day - went out to lunch with Michelle, went and got my nails (toes & fingers!) done with Karis, and a little celebration with all of the Kershaw's at Thanksgiving.

Then on my birthday Chris surprised me with some great gifts and we went out for a yummy dinner at Red Lobster. Ian has been wanting to go there for a long time - good thing he took a long time to order and had some wonderful Macaroni and Cheese.

Then last Friday I got to go out with some wonderful friends for drinks and music! Here are some pictures from our night out!
We started the night at Brewsky's for some food and drinks. Thanks for joining me Amy, Shawna, Luke, Mom, Vicki, Alesia, and Michelle. Chris, Trevor, Allison, and Brad also were there but not for the picture!!
We then headed to The Zoo Bar to listen to The Killigans. Shortly after arriving I was given a shot. I have not had a shot for I think 13 months and I was a little nervous. I think I looked at the shot for 3 minutes before I finally took it. It looked HUGE!

Luckily it was a good shot and I handled it just fine!

A little dancing with Allison and Brooke!
Chillin with Alesia!
Towards the end of the night we were all still doing good and were just giving "fake" thumbs up - meaning I could still talk and was not giving hand signals to anyone!
Thanks to everyone that came out and everyone else that wished me a Happy Birthday! I had a great time and can't wait to see how we celebrate my next decade birthday!! :)

Fixing the Sink

Chris put a new sink in our bathroom so Ian could turn it on by himself. Ian sat and watched the entire time that Chris worked on it and then when Chris was done he wanted to get under the sink and "work." So I had to get a few shots of our future Mr. Fix It!
