Borne's Baptism

Borne was Baptized on November 8th, 2009. We were lucky to have a lot of our family there to help celebrate this special day. Borne did great the entire time!
The whole family!
Marcus & Meghan are Borne's godparents. We were lucky they were coming back to visit and we could have Baptism on the same weekend. They are a great couple and Borne is very blessed to have them as godparents! We can't wait for their little one to join us.

Proud parents. Also this is a good picture of the baptismal gown. I wore this gown 30 years ago when I got baptized and has been worn may almost all of my cousins. My aunt has embroidered all of our names in the gown with our birth date. It's really cool and it's super neat that both Ian and Borne were able to wear it.

One Month

It's hard to believe that Borne is already one month old. We decided to try and take a picture of him next to this guitar every month so we could track his growth. In the first month Borne has growth quite a bit and has been a pretty good baby. We thought he looked a lot like Ian those first days but I think he does not look as much like him now. It will be fun to see how he changes in the coming months. We are not sure what color of eyes he's going to have - maybe brown, blue or green. He is a mover. He likes movement. He has to sleep in the bouncer with the vibrating on or in his bassinet with the vibrating on as well. The little he's awake he likes to be walked around or patted on the back. And he loves to eat like his brother! He has some gas issues and I think that's one reason he likes to be moving a lot - gets those bubbles out. Right now Borne is still waking up about every 2 or 3 hours. There has been a couple of nights that he's sleep 4 or 4 1/2 - we are hoping for more of them this next month! Overall Borne is a very sweet baby and we love him to death. We look forward to more changes in the next month.

Ian the Cop

Ian was a cop for Halloween and this is a good picture of him with my mom. He did not like her with red long hair - it took a lot to get him this close for a picture!

Our Little Sweet Pea

When I was pregnant Ian always called the baby sweet pea so when Shannon gave me the idea for a Halloween costume and then Amy found one locally I had to get it. It was pretty big on him but he still looked pretty cute.

Pumpkin Carving

Ian was pretending to eat the guts of the pumpkin!

He dug right in and cleaned out all of the guts!

Ian watching Chris trace the pattern onto the front of the pumpkin.

Borne just hung out in his car seat and watched.

The final product!

Found My Thumb

When Borne is hungry he looks for skin to suck on - most of the times he finds his hands but gets pretty frustrated. He was laying on my lap the other day and he found his thumb. It was pretty cute. He just laid there and sucked - he was really content! Although he did not understand that his fingers were poking his eyes.

Borne - 8 days old

Here's a picture of Borne when he was 8 days old. I can't believe he's already almost a month old. Time goes way to fast.

Baby Card

We received this card from from one of the girls Chris works with, Jackie. I read it and laughed and loved it. Borne is a special little boy and we are very lucky to have him as a part of our family but sometimes at 1:30am and 3:30am and 5:30am (all the same night!) I do remind myself that it's all worth it!!

Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch with Amy, Pat, Deni, and Kael. It was Borne's first family outing and he just sat in the sling the entire time and slept. Kael rode in the stroller and did great also. Deni and Ian ran around like crazy and had lots of fun!
Deni and Ian enjoyed some pumpkin cookies!

I love this picture because it's after they both went through the fun house. Ian enjoyed it but Deni not so much but they both look miserable.

Family Picture

This is the first new family picture we've taken since Borne arrived. We went to the pumpkin patch with Amy, Pat, Deni, and Kael and this was taken when we were taking the hayrack ride out to the pumpkins. You can't see Borne very well but it's a cute picture. Thanks for taking it Amy!
