Indy's Destruction

Tonight we came to a mess. Indy has chewed up many toys, pillows and dog beds. But this is the first time she has attacked the window and distroyed our shades. We had a plastic film over the window to try to keep some of the old out but as you can see that's no longer working. We don't know if someone came to the front door and she freaked out or what. There are many places where you can tell she continued to bike and chew on. Looks like we'll be making a trip to the door to get some new blinds!

Ian's Injury

Yesterday Chris, Ian and I were playing our hallway. Ian was riding in his little red plastic wagon and Chris and I were pushing him back and forth (we have wood floors). We were all having a great time until Chris pushed Ian a little too hard and he fell forward and his nose took the fall. I was in tears when it happened because Ian cried bloody murder for about 10 seconds and then he was fine. Chris and I both thought he had broken his nose. Once we got under control and called Grandma Kathy to get some advice we thought it was probably fine and he just needed some ice. So I tried to take some pictures - the pictures do not do it justice but you kind of get the idea. And it's not as bad as I thought it would be today. But he's got some nice bruising. I think this is the worse injury Ian has had besides when he was born.

Before The Snow

The night before all of the snow came Ian wanted to play outside in his sandbox. So he played for about an hour before it got too cold. I think he's wanting spring and summer just like the rest of us.

Artwork

Ian loves his artwork so we have lots to share. Here are 3 more pieces!

He has not yet figured out that we read left to right. He knows his named is spelled IAN but often will write it backwards or out of order.

Painting

Yesterday my department from work went to the Lux Center for the Arts and painted. We had a lot of fun.
This is what we started with - a blank canvas.

Then we got started!

Working away!

This was about halfway through the process. We had to stop and look to see what we liked - what we didn't like and let the paint try a little bit. And then we were off again.

This is a close shot of a small section of the painting.

This was the final product!!!

These are the people I work with and the artist that helped us throught he process.
Matt, Kady, Karis, Darren, Troy and myself.

I would highly recommend something like this for everyone. We had a great time!!

Keystone Vacation

Chris, Ian and I went to Keystone last weekend with Brooke, Allison and Brad. We had a great time and Chris is already planning a boy's trip in March!

My snowboarding skills!

Chris and I on the gondola ride.

Brooke and I at the top of the mountain the day we were snowboarding/skiing.

Chris and Brad on the lift.

We put Ian in ski school. When we watched for a little bit he pretty much cried the whole time. I felt terrible but now he's all about going back so it was not terrible. He did a good job. This is him riding up the magic carpet!

Coming down on one ski.

Ian was worn at that night. Sleeping very weird on the couch.

We went shopping one afternoon and Ian made a haul. Here's a new guitar shirt.

Ian with his new stuffed elephant, Thomas. Also a new hoodie - has a guitar on the front and the hood says ROCK!

This was the morning of ski school - how cute is that - he was so excited. I don't think he knew what was ahead of him.

The other side of the gondola ride.

More Artwork

Ian is getting good at coloring and he takes a long time because he wants to stay in the lines. This is a V book - the kids at daycare studied the letter V last week - so there are 6 pictures in this book. This is the only page Ian got colored because he was working so hard on it - the other kids got the entire book done but with less precision. Amanda (our daycare provider) says he always works so hard to get it perfect. I don't know where he learned this!!

Tracing Skills!

Ian informed me that this is a hot tub!

This is from a couple weeks ago when they studied the letter U.

Scissor skills! Good cutting Ian!

My baby's big hand.

Playing at the Park

We had to travel to the park with this beautiful weather. I wish it was going to stick around!!
Swinging!

Singing the ABC's with the chart.

Ian loves slides!!!

Peeking out of a hole in a yellow tub - too cute to not take a picture!
