Paint Sprayer

Since we decided to paint the baby's room Chris thought we would purchase a paint sprayer to spray all of the trim. Man I think this is the best $28 we've spent for a while. He was able to spray all of the trim in such a short time and he put a new coat of paint on the door. It made all of it look great and it was so fast!

I think he'll now be able to give all of our doors a new layer of paint in the next couple of weeks - lucky him!!!

TV Time

I just thought this picture was funny because there must have been something good on TV for both Ian and I to be watching so closely!

Painting

We decided this weekend to paint the baby's room. We originally were not going to do anything to the room - it was still decorated from when Ian was a baby but we had to make a change. So first up was paint. Ian was all about helping and he actually did a great job with the roller. Made my job a lot easier! And again he had to use his apron so he would not get dirty. We figure underwear and apron - best painting outfit for a 4 year old!

A is Apron

Last week at daycare they studied the letter A. Amanda is so great and bought them each their own little apron and put their names on them and then they each got to decorate them how they wanted. Ian brought his home and immediately had to use it for everything. Here he was helping with dinner! He was so proud of being the chef for dinner!

Baby Ian

Found this picture of Ian when he was probably 6 months old. What a chubby little boy!

LEGOS

Last weekend I let Ian take $10 of his saved money and buy a toy of his choosing. He decided he wanted a LEGOS police helicopter. I was a little concerned because I thought it might be to advanced for him. But I know Chris loves LEGOS so I thought what the heck we can help if he needs it and he'll learn some new skills - following written directions, etc.

So we got home and immediately started working on it. I sat by him if he had questions but for the most part he had it all figured out. Since then he's taken it apart and put it back together again many times. I think he's hooked on LEGOS. I don't think Chris is disappointed at all because that means Chris gets to play too!

The finished product!!

Pictures

Last week we went and had pictures taken with Becky Anderson, a local photographer. She was great and we've only seen the pictures she posted to her blog but I know I'm going to like everything she did. I would recommend her to anyone. We had a good time even though Ian was a cheese ball the entire time and was just worried about seeing the fish!

I'll post more pictures after we get them back from her! CLICK HERE to go to her blog.

McDonald's

This last weekend Ian and I were home alone - Chris was in Chicago with the band. So Saturday morning we went to McDonald's for breakfast and Ian played on the play ground. He had it all to himself and had fun running around!

Soccer Camp

A couple weeks ago Ian went to soccer camp through the YMCA. At first he really wanted nothing to do with it but as soon as he got there and saw his friend Brandon he was sold. He went everyday Monday-Friday for 1 1/2 hours a night. Which is quite a bit for a 4 year old and by the end of the week I think he was ready for it to be over. We had fun sitting on the sidelines laughing - mostly at how their coach handled 8 4 & 5 year olds.

31 Weeks

So today I've reached 31 weeks. With Ian I would be going into the hospital tonight after having my water break and there are no signs of that happening. I had a doctor's appointment today and everything looks good and my test came back negative so there's about a 99% change of not having a baby in the next 2 weeks - I think we are in for the long haul with this one! Here's a belly shot from last week!

Bumper Boats

We visited Estes in June after Marcus & Meghan's wedding and Ian so wanted to ride the bumper boats but it was just too cold. Although it was still cold this time around we promised! He loved it them and they had a fun time getting uncle Trevor wet.

We were pretty busy the entire time we spent in Estes and we were not very good about getting Ian a nap at his normal time so he pretty much took any time he could. When we were involved in a Bocce Ball tournament he slept for a little while in a camping chair.

The main reason we visited Estes Park was for the Hanigan reunion (Chris' mom' family). One morning they had activities for kids aged 3-6. Ian had fun playing with the parachute.

Dinosaur Expert

While camping in Estes Ian became a Dinosaur Expert. For some reason him and Ryder found some rocks buried by our camp site and they pretended they were dinosaur bones. So together they dug for a while. When we came back to our camp later that day Ian dug up more bones for more than an hour. He was determined to get the "huge" dinosaur head out!

We went to Estes Park for a family reunion last week and had lots of fun. Here we were in town walking around and stopped by the river on the west side of town. Ian enjoyed his big lollipop by the river!

One Saturday morning Ian and Chris had fun building with Ian's Lincoln Logs. I heard all about it after I woke up - thanks daddy for letting mommy sleep in!! Looks like you boys had a fun time together!
