We went shopping this last weekend for a few things we needed for the baby's room. Chris and Ian were taking a little rest. I don't think they are very good fake sleepers! I see smiles appearing!

Camping

We went camping last weekend at Branched Oak with my day, his wife Michelle, and my Aunts Sandy and Dee. It was a short trip but we had fun. Right away Ian wanted to go fishing so Grandpa Rocky took him. They found a great spot becuase pretty much as soon as you threw the line in little fish were biting. I think Ian ended up catching about 10 fish over the day and a half we were there. He never got bored thats for sure!

The first catch!

We did go swimming for a while. It was not super hot out but the water was pretty warm and we were the only people on the beach. I don't know if that has ever happened and it was a nice relaxing time!
Sunday morning before we left Chris took Ian on his first motorcycle ride. He loved it! He had to wave at every person they passed.

Train Puzzle

One weekend while we were working on the baby's room Ian got out his train puzzle. Here's an early picture of his work. He pretty much did it all by himself - Chris and I helped just a little bit. When he was finished the "train" pretty much ran from one side of his room to the other.

Crib

So we got the crib moved up from the basement and immeiately Ian wanted to get in it. We knew he would be way to big but it was quite amazing to me that my little boy that was so tiny in his crib 4 years ago barely fits into the crib now.

Preschool

So it only took me 3 weeks to get these pictures up.

Ian was pretty nervous about preschool - or at least that's what he told us leading up to the big day. But when it actually came he was thrilled. A week before he started we went to an Open House at the school. Each day following he would ask "do I get to go to school today?" which I always had to say no not yet - next Tuesday. 4 years old do not understand time so after saying this for about 3 days Ian looked at me very seriously and said "mom, why do you have to ruin school for me." Although I felt hurt because he thought I was being mean I was also glad that he was so excited to go.

When we were at home I wanted to get a picture but he was not in the smiling mood.
Luckily when we go to the school he was all smiles.
He loves preschool and his teacher Mrs. Jensen. I'm volunteering in the class once a month which is nice to interact with Ian and his new friends. I guess this means we are in full school mode for the next 13 years!

New Artwork for Desk

So when I got to work this morning one of Ian's pieces of artwork was in with my work papers. It made me happy so it is now hanging for others enjoyment! This is his rainbow frog!

Baby's Room

We got the baby's room done. I think this is the fastest we've ever completely finished a project - two weekends. It's nice that we have it finished now we can move in some of the furniture and get things set up for the arrival of this little guy or girl!

We went and had a few more pictures taken. Thanks Amy for letting us use the same lady and thanks Rachael for letting me use your outfit.
