Miah

Before Easter Brent and Bethany Heath visited Lincoln with their little girl, Miah. This was the first time we've got to meet her and she is a cutie pie. Ian loved holding her - he's going to be a very good Big Brother when our little one comes.
Here's a picture of Miah on the way out the door - it was a cute picture opportunity!

Dogs

When we got home from all the Easter festivities we were very tired and not ready to go to work the next day. I guess the dogs were tired from all of the excitement as well. Here they are Easter night hanging out in the bathroom.

Here is another picture Ian and Jack relaxing. Jack is not supposed to be on the couches but when you see him next to Ian like this I just can't make him get down. Jack is Ian's favorite by far even though Jack sometimes does not like Ian's attention.

Nebesniak Easter

After all the egss hunts and Baptism in Spalding we headed straight for the Nebesniak's to get one last hunt in. Of course Grandma Kathy went crazy and ther was plenty of candy for all of the kids.

This was Ian on the ride from Spalding to Lincoln. You can see he has a little chocolate on his mouth from the few Easter snacks he had on the road.

Here is Ryder, Marlee, Deni and Ian getting read to attack the yard.
As you can see Ian had a very full basket - we are still eating Easter candy!

Grandma Kathy and Lainey are helping them hunt for the last of the eggs!

Keaton's Baptism

My cousin, Rose and her husband, Jason had there youngest Baptized on Easter morning. They asked me to stand up for Keaton. I was extemely honored! It was a wonderful ceremony and I always love seeing another Donovan baby wear the Baptismal gown.

The gown that Keaton is wearing has been worn by almost all of the Donovan grandchildren and now the Donovan great-grandchildren. Ian wore it when he was baptized even though we could not snap it around his neck because he was a pretty big boy.

I'm excited for this next baby to be able to wear it!

Kershaw Easter

The Saturday before Easter we headed up to Spalding to see my Dad's family. We always have Easter at my Aunt Tami's farm house. It's fun because there's lots of hiding place for eggs and baskets.

The first to hunt were the Great-Grandkids. They got frisbees and buckets. They were pretty excited.

Since there was no sand to haul, Ian decided snow was just as good!

Then the grandkids got to find their eggs - there was a nice little cash reward in our eggs that our grandma had left to us. All of us were quite surprised!

Then my dad and his 6 sisters got to do a little hunt of their own. It was pretty cool becuase my Aunt Tami took clues my grandma made in 2004 and used them. So the clues were in my grandma's handwriting and then they lead to a basket with some cool pictures of her and my grandpa!
It was a fun afternoon. I think Ian loved being out on the farm. The only problem we ran into was Ian being brave and taking a little walk up the country road about 1/4 mile all by himself. We realized he was gone and started looking for him and could not find him. We started to freak out a little bit because there are a lot of places he could have fallen and gotten hurt but luckily we looked up the road and there he was just walking back to the house - he was just trying to find the other kids - he thought they went for a walk without him.

This is Ian and Bandit (my cousin Nicole's dog). Ian loves him!

We stayed in Spalding that night and the Easter bunny visited us. Ian found his basket and got Madagascar 2! He was pretty excited!!
We had fun spending time with my dad's family - seems like we always have to run somewhere else so it was nice to just relax and talk for a while.

Coloring Eggs

Friday before Easter we colored a dozen eggs. We had a good time. Ian was all about coloring all over the eggs before he put them into a color.

We were trying to get a picture of Ian and the eggs and he was being silly making them his cheeks!

Jungle Gym

My boss at work was getting rid of his daughters Jungle Gym and was super nice to give it to us. We picked it up last week. That turned out to be hard work for Chris, my boss, and Brad. But we got it home and into the garage. Last night Chris started putting it back together in the backyard and the entire time Ian was by his side anticipating it being done.

Tonight when we got home all Ian wanted to do was go and play on it. Chris was afraid it was not sturdy enough but he checked it out and thought it would be okay so Ian spend about an hour playing on it. And we also found out that Jack likes it up there.

So THANK YOU Matt for making Ian's day!
