Leaves

A couple of weeks ago Ian got the idea that he wanted to make a pile of leaves in our front yard to play in.  We had quite a bit of fun and most of the leaves in the front year got picked up!

I'm not real sure what Borne was doing here but thought it was kind of funny!

UNL Band Night

Back in August we went to the UNL Band Night.  Amy, Pat, Kael, Deni and Kathy all went as well.  It was fun watching the kids enjoy the music.  Once the music was over they (at least Borne) was ready to go so we left a little early but it was a fun free night out!

As soon as the music started this was Borne.  His attention was completely on the field and then almost immediately he started dancing like crazy.  It was the cuties thing ever.  Not much keeps his attention but the UNL band sure did.

Ian and Deni had fun listening to the music and playing and talking the entire time!

This was how Borne sat for about 2 seconds - at least until the music started!

Brothers

Here they are together - these were the hardest to get (only way 2 turned out!).  They would just start goofing off and not pay attention to us and just to each other.  Athough it would have been pretty cute in other situations - it was a little frustrating that night!

Borne

Borne did pretty good the entire time we were there although he was more interested in the fish in the pond than anything.  And we often would get a big cheeese with teeth tightly clinched - still working on a natural smile from this one too!

Can you tell this is ornery face.  About 2 seconds after she took this he fell backwards into the flowers.  Good call on her part to put him in front of the flowers and not in front of the fish pond.

Ian

Here are some of the fun pictures she got of Ian.  You would think that it would be harder to control Borne at a setting like this but Ian was our challenging kid this night.  Lucky Becky the photographer was able to use her skills and get him to look natural (in a few!).

Family Pictures

We took some family pictures at the beginning of August for a couple of reasons.  1) One of our favorite photographers is moving to Denver so we wanted one last session with her. 2)  I thought it would be nice to have some family pictures before this baby comes in February.  3) Because I like to have a night of stress, anxiety, and 2 boys that do not like to cooperate - so a wonderful night for Chris (ha ha!).

We got some great pictures - even if there were two parents trying with all their power to make their sons sit, smile, no not fake smile, stop touching him, etc, etc!!

I look a little shell shocked in this picture - I must have been ready for the night to be over with!

My nightly view

Almost every night for the last week or week and a half has been spend outside for us. The weather has been absolutely beautiful. I love the cool breeze. Being able to sleep with my windows open is my favorite part of fall. I'd love for this weather to stay around for the next three months!
