Evie's Wall

We finally got Evie's wall pictures hung.  I ordered 3 of them.  Karis made us the super cute date/name/birth info one and then the giraffe and elephant are cards we received in the mail (I thought they were so cute they deserved to be framed! So thanks to my Aunt Denise and our friends Zach and Emily!)

I'll get a picture of her name letters on the wall also one of these days!

Evie is One Month Old

It's pretty darn hard to believe that Evie is already a month old.  It seems like the last 4 weeks have flown by.

Evie is growing like a weed!  Just this week she starting smiling at us - so adorable!

A few things about Evie at one month old:
-She likes to be sitting up - seeing what's around her.
-She likes to be burped a lot and usually pretty hard.
-She is a really good sleeper.  Normally she'll sleep anywhere from 2-5 hours at a time especially during the night.
-We think she might have a slight milk intolerance so I'm taking milk out of my diet to see if it helps or if there are just some small windows during the day that she's kind of colicky.
-I also don't think she likes when I drink caffeine so no more of that. :(
-She has some major baby acne going on right now.  Poor girl - I'm hoping it means later in life she won't have acne.  (that would be great if that's how it really worked!)

We are loving having a little girl in the house and can't wait to see all of the changes in the coming month!

Here are a few pictures I took of her this morning in her crib!

Colorado Visit

Two weeks ago Evie and I took a road trip out to Colorado with my mom.  We went for Cache's 2nd birthday and Callaway's baptism.  Before Evie came I planned on going but it was all depending on how I was feeling and how "good" the baby was. Evie has really been pretty easy and the trip was pretty easy overall.  I'm super glad we were able to go!

On the way out we stopped in North Platte and then about 30 minutes from Marcus and Meghan's house.  And on the way home only one stop in North Platte.  Evie slept like a champ which made the drive pretty darn easy!!

It was great to see Marcus, Meghan, Cache and Callaway.  This was the first time I've met Cally and man she is so big already.  Glad we'll be seeing all of them again in April when we take a big vacation to Orlando!! :)

For Cache's birthday party we went bowling.

Cally's Baptism was the next day - Here are all of "Kershaw" girls.

Here is a great picture to show how fast babies grow.  Evie (born in Feb), Cally (born in Oct), and then Timmy (Meghan's nephew was born in August).  Evie looks so little next to Cally and Timmy.  It was fun to have all of these babies together for the weekend.

Such a cute picture of Cache with Evie.  I love how she's looking at him!

Daniel & Chelsea's Visit

Daniel & Chelsea where in town for girls state basketball a few weeks ago and we went to see them at the hotel and get a swim in.  I was horrible and did not get many good pictures - at least with Daniel and Chelsea in them - next time I'll do better!

Evie slept almost the entire time and was a hit with all of Chelsea's family (what baby would not be!) :)

The hot tub was the favorite!

Evie's 2 week checkup

We had Evie's 2 week checkup today.

Here are her stats:

Weight: 8 lbs 9ozs
Height: 20 inches
Head: 14 7/8 inches

The doctor said she looks super good.

We are going to have an ultrasound done on her hips at 6 weeks to make sure there are not any problems.  When she was born right away the nurses asked if she was a breach baby because her feet where by her head.  Since she was in this position they just want to make sure the hips are developing correctly so there are not problems in the future.

Borne meeting Evie

Here are some pictures of when Borne meet Evie for the first time.  So sweet!  We were a little worried how Borne would handle having a little sister but so far he's been awesome.  He always wants to know where Evie is and if she starts crying he's all about getting us - making sure we are taking care of her.  I have a feeling he will be a very good big brother as they get older!
