Where did September Go?

I can't believe tomorrow is October 1st already.  Pretty sad that I only posted once during the month of September.  We have been pretty busy and blogging has just not been top priority - sorry any loyal followers!

Some of the things we were up to in September.

Ian is playing soccer again this fall.  He's enjoying it and we love watching him.  He's very enthusiastic about playing but still does not quite get the idea of going after the ball all of the time.  He'll start running really fast - looking at his feet - and that leads him to a different direction than the ball.  Oh well he's having fun, getting some exercise, and meeting new friends!

HUSKER FOOTBALL!!
Chris took Ian to his first husker football game.  It was the Idaho game so not a super exciting game but Ian really enjoyed it and I think he's hooked like his mom and dad.  Chris and I are looking forward to the Texas game - we are going to spend the day together tailgating and having fun for our 7th anniversary!

HUSKER VOLLEYBALL!!
A week after Ian went to his first husker football game I got to take him to his first husker volleyball game.  I think he had fun - just not so sure he wants to go back anytime soon.  We did buy him a little red and white volleyball that he loves to throw around - I may need to make one of my boys be a volleyball player!!

Rental House
Chris and my dad put up a privacy fence at our rental house.  They got it done in a day - very impressive!  It looks good - hopefully the renters will enjoy it and when it's time to sell the house it will make the property worth a little more!

St. Monica's Amazing Chase
I participated in the Amazing Chase with Amber, Allison, and brooke.  It did a great job fundraising and started in 7th place.  We were off and running and did all kind of crazy things.  We ended up getting 13th place - that darn last clue threw us completely off.  We are already planning for next year.  Girls - I do promise to be nicer after I have to be the 'braun' of our team! :)

Wealth for my Health
I started a weight lose challenge mid August and throughout September I started eating better and exercising more.  I'm seeing some good results so far and am hoping to be a finalist in December to win $1,000.

Swimming Lessons
Ian started another round of swimming lessons this week.  He loves the water and I'm glad he's learning how to swim.  Makes a mom a little less worried when he's by the water.  Plus it's a great way to wear him down - that kid has a lot of energy!

School
Ian is still loving school.  He's always singing the songs he's learned and excited to do his homework.  It's amazing how fast they learn things and remember things!  It will be fun to see how much he's learned after this first year.

Borne
Borne is our little monkey that keeps us on our toes.  During September he had two ear infections and now his molars are coming in so he's been a little crabby at times - can't blame him - I've heard teeth and ear infections are terrible!  He's got a smile with those big teeth that make you laugh and he's got a personality you have to love.  We are so excited to celebrate his first birthday.  I have a feeling he's going to destroy the cake!

Okay that's a little of what we've been up to - sorry I've been a bad blogger.  I'll be better in October I promise.

Here's a few pictures to make you smile!!
This was Ian after a hard soccer game.  The hat just happened to be in the car!

Borne eating while we watched Ian play soccer.
