This was our first picture driving in. We had to stop and look at the 2 buffalo (can you see the two little spots to the left of Ian?). There were many more to see over the weekend.
We went on a couple hikes and Borne loved his carrier!
We stayed at the KOA campground and there were lots of things for Ian to do there. One was a huge jumping pillow. It was a lot of fun for him as well as mom and dad!
Borne in the swimming pool! They had one big pool, a little pool for babies and then a hot tub - we enjoyed all of them.
Borne and Chris hanging out in the cabin.
Me and the boys outside our cabin. This is where some of the challenging times came from. This is the cabin we stayed in and it was fairly nice but it had not water or heat. So when Borne woke up a couple times at 3 in the morning it proved challenging to calm him down, get him a bottle, and back to bed. But overall it was a fun little place to stay. I'd go back but just maybe wait a couple years!
Ian was getting tired on one of our hikes! I love the hands.
Chris and Ian climbed to the top of a rock. Ian was all about climbing on this trip. He climbed every rock he could and most of the time all by himself.
We visited Mt. Rushmore. I remember visiting as a kid but it's changed so much - not even the same place. It was very cool though. We stayed for the night lightening which was pretty neat. I would recommend it to anyone in the area!
Another hiking picture. Look no hands!
We did get a family picture when we were out hiking one day. This was at Sylvan Lake.
We also visited the Crazy Horse monument. I can't believe they've been building it since like the 40's - it's crazy. I don't know that they will have it finished in my lifetime. We also stayed for the night laser show which was cool but also a little trying since it was fairly chilly out and it was getting late.
